Lin Utzon

“Flowers are the important factor. If I can add atmosphere and lighting to make the flowers, the water and the glass add up to a greater whole, then I’m happy. There’s something poetic and slightly banal about bringing nature indoors. But there’s no doubt that it does something for us.” Lin Utzon

Lin Utzon is a qualified art-craftworker and textile designer. Her art is wide-ranging and extends from bone china collections for Rosendahl and Royal Copenhagen, to scenography and costumes for the Royal Danish Ballet, architectural embellishments for Jørn Utzon’s church in Bagsværd and Volvo’s headquarters in Gothenburg, among others.

This world-famous designer has created a number of beautiful collections for Rosendahl – collections that include vases, votives and bowls, each in their own way pieces of genuine Danish artistry in glass; from Filigran to the Lin Utzon Vase, the Confetti range and the newest arrival, Tanne, which is part of Rosendahl’s Karen Blixen Collection. She is also the woman behind the beautiful Hans Christian Andersen dinner service, launched to mark the bicentenary of Hans Christian Andersen in 2005.
