Bo Bonfils

When Tom Kristensen returned to Copenhagen from his third victory at Le Mans in 2001, he was met at the airport by Bo Bonfils and driven into the city, where his fans awaited him. Tom Kristensen was driven in Bo Bonfils’ old Riley MPH Racing Special from 1935 – the same model that won Le Mans in 1934.

Linked initially by their passion for cars and, later, watches, Bo Bonfils and Tom Kristensen became friends. This led, in 2001, to Tom Kristensen driving Bo Bonfils’ Riley at the Munkebjerg Hill Climb for veteran cars. Timing is of the essence in disciplines like these! Accordingly, they agreed that Bo Bonfils should design a racing watch – with tips and input from Tom Kristensen.

Bo Bonfils is an artist and self-taught designer. Bo has run his own business since 1960 and has carried out commissions for Danish and international companies. Working with Tom Kristensen and Rosendahl, Bo Bonfils has designed a series of exciting racing watches, now also including the feminine counterpart to the Tom Kristensen collection, Lady Seven.
