The Regina champagne glass
If you prefer classic champagne glasses, you’ll love the ones from Holmegaard's Regina series. Designer Anja Kjær created the unique Regina glass series for the Danish royal couple’s silver wedding in 1992, when the glasses were produced by Holmegaard as a gift from the Copenhagen City Council. The exclusive glasses in the series are mouth-blown, which is why each champagne glass in the series is completely unique and may have small air bubbles in the glass. Set a complete table with the Regina champagne glass and other glasses from the same series for special occasions. The stylish glasses are guaranteed to complete the table setting, and will undoubtedly impress with their beautiful design. The Regina series also consists of tumblers, red wine glasses, white wine glasses and port glasses, so you can easily collect a complete series of beautiful glasses.
Take care of your glasses
To take the best care of your beautiful champagne glasses, wash them gently to prevent them from breaking. In fact, all glasses can be put in the dishwasher, which is probably good news for everyone who has one. The decisive factor for the best possible dishwashing is actually the temperature at which they are washed. Please take care not to wash your champagne glasses at too high a temperature. Preferably use the dishwasher’s glass programme, if it has one. In addition, make sure that the dishwasher is filled with rinse aid and salt and that it is correctly adjusted to the water hardness. Finally, proper drying is also essential to achieve a good result without any deposits of limescale on the glasses.
Position them correctly
Your champagne glasses are now ready to be placed in the kitchen cupboard or display cabinet. Opinions may vary as to how you should store your wine glasses in your cupboards, but the correct answer is that they should stand on their feet – just like you put them on the dinner table. They should not be upside down, which many people think is the correct way, but there is no need to turn the glass upside down. Especially if they are already in a cupboard that protects against dust. The disadvantage of placing the glasses upside down is that they absorb the smell of the cabinet shelves. This odour can be more or less unpleasant depending on the surface. Your glasses fare best with air around them.
