Hammershøi Poppy is designed by Hans-Christian Bauer and Rikke Jacobsen decorates with beautiful watercolour poppy decoration on the white porcelain. The Poppy heart has on one side a beautiful Poppy decoration in feminine nude colours, and on the other side it is a beautiful green budding Poppy. Rikke Jacobsen has chosen the delicate pink poppy in the watercolours to emphasize the fragility and grace of the flower. It has something classic, elegant, and Nordic about it. The Poppy heart hangs in a dusty green ribbon, and is perfect for hanging in the window or on spring branches in a beautiful vase. In this way, a good heartwarming feeling enters the home.
The Kähler story
A unique design adventure that began in 1839
The story of Kähler begins as early as 1839, when the Dutch potter Herman J. Kähler opened a small ceramics workshop in Næstved and crafted the first Kähler vase. This was the start of a unique design adventure that would one day resonate around the world. However, the ceramic adventure only truly began when his son, Herman A. Kähler, took over the famous workshop in 1875.
