Rosendahl’s partnership with world-famous car designer Henrik Fisker has resulted in a unique collection of watches by the name of PCH – Pacific Coast Highway. Time, design and speed united in a unique watch that clearly exhibits Fisker’s design DNA.
Henrik Fisker has achieved his world renown with his amazing, streamlined and immensely successful sports car classics including the BMW Z8, not to mention the aesthetic marvel that is the Aston Martin DB9. He trained as a designer at The Art Center of Design, Pasadena, California.
Today, Fisker is engaged in the ambitious Fisker Coachbuild project, building a handful of exquisite Tramonto and Latigo CS luxury cars.
The Tramonto and Latigo CS models are a study in unbroken curves, where the right line is never a straight line. Thus, Henrik Fisker’s work is completely immune to conventional whims. Fisker’s approach to design appealed to Rosendahl in terms of the potential for transferring his design sense to a watch – and this marked the start of an exciting partnership.
Regarding the design process, whether for watches or cars, Fisker comments:
“To me, design is about creating pure, genuine art, characterised by a beautiful harmony between lines and graphic styling. Ultimately, the product should be fashioned to look aesthetic to the recipient. This idea is clear and consistent in all my designs of cars and other products.” Henrik Fisker, 2008
