Maria Berntsen

Maria Berntsen has created the classic Wallpaper magazine rack and the functional kitchen roll holder for Rosendahl.
 
She graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture, and has had her own design studio since 1992. Here, she has designed furniture, lamps, utility art, jewellery and kitchen equipment for companies in Denmark and abroad. In addition, she has worked for The Danish Design School as an instructor.

Maria finds inspiration in the interplay of design and communication:

“To design is to communicate, and good design is always easily understood. Creating a good product is about optimising form and function by means of the details. We always know quality when we see it, and I use this intuitive sense when creating something new."
