Serve your coffee or tea warm to your guests or just yourself in a Rosendahl thermos jug
Rosendahl’s thermos jugs come in a wide choice of colours, shapes and sizes. Whether you want a modern or classic design, Rosendahl will have one to suit your needs.
As mentioned, the thermos jugs come in different sizes and can therefore naturally contain different amounts of drinks. How much you have in your thermos jug is really down to taste and preference. If, for example, you only need enough coffee for your own morning coffee in the thermos, then a small, smart thermos jug is probably easier to handle, but if you want to keep the coffee, tea or cocoa hot for many people, then a large and spacious thermos jug is of course much better.
The thermos jug was actually invented as far back as 1892 by Scottish physicist James Dewar, but a German company was preceded by the inventor and patented the thermos, so he was never actually credited. The first commercial thermos jug was produced in 1904 and was an insulating jug that could keep coffee hot for longer. Today, the thermos jugs are much better insulated, so they retain the heat for much longer while also retaining the taste and aroma of the coffee.
This is also the advantage of a thermos jug as opposed to coffee machines. Many coffee machines have a hot plate to keep coffee hot, but the beauty of a thermos jug is that it doesn't alter the taste and aroma of coffee, while keeping it hot, and nor does it use any electricity either. And you can keep it on your table right next to your coffee cup on the terrace, for example. Nowadays, the thermos jug has become an indispensable part of any Danish home, and there are many good reasons to invest in one because it not only keeps your coffee or tea warm for a long time, it also looks fantastic on your coffee table, especially when you want to serve hot drinks in style for your guests.
Make sure you thoroughly clean the thermos jug after use. All of Rosendahl’s thermos jugs are dishwasher-safe, making them wonderfully easy to clean. It is important to disassemble it completely and either put it in the dishwasher or clean each part by hand with warm soapy water. To prolong the life of your thermos jug, make sure you clean it every time you have used it, and preferably within a short period of time as residues of coffee, cocoa or tea should not, for example, be left to harden in and on the thermal mug. These residues may affect the thermos jug in the long term. Your thermos jug will last longer and also keep its seal for longer when you clean and wipe it off after each use.
