OLE KORTZAU

Ole Kortzau is a Danish architect, visual artist, and designer with a long and versatile career in design, art, and craftsmanship. Since 1973, he has run his own design studio, working across materials and disciplines including glass, porcelain, graphic design, silver, and textiles. Throughout his career, he has created designs for renowned brands such as Georg Jensen, Kvadrat, Royal Copenhagen, and Holmegaard.

Originally trained as a bricklayer and watercolor artist, Ole Kortzau graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts School of Architecture in 1966. His creative work spans a wide range of fields, including teaching, writing books, and producing television programs, establishing him as a prominent figure in Danish design and art.
