Kay Bojesen is synonymous with original Danish design. By crafting the wood into soft, round shapes and smiling lines, he created figures that each had their own original story. The servers are of course also made of wood, so that they fit in with the rest of Kay Bojesen's product range. They also feature the same well-known soft and round shapes, which fit nicely in the hand and feel lovely and soft to the touch. The wood is of course treated with a food-approved surface treatment, which makes it less susceptible to foods that can dye.

Kay Bojesen found inspiration for the servers from household products. Kay Bojesen designed a number of household products back in the 1940s. He produced a beautiful and useful line of household wood products called Menageri. All the products quickly proved to be a great success – including these beautiful servers.
