With this exclusive Kay Bojesen Monkey x Nørgaard paa Strøget tote bag in white/black measuring 40x45 cm you get a perfect companion for your new wooden design icon or any other of your favourite essentials. Kay Bojesen Monkey x Nørgaard paa Strøget is a fun and straightforward tribute both design icons. A new original story made of wood created when two of the most iconic landmarks in Danish design history decided to team up in a celebration for the smiling lines and happy stripes, they have each contributed to Danish design. The famous Kay Bojesen Monkey was created back in 1951, when Kay Bojesen wanted to make a children’s level hanger to support his kids in reaching their clothes. Instead, he ended up making a world-famous Danish design icon. Now the iconic Monkey itself has put on some clothes, and what matches a Danish design icon better than another Danish design icon? The #101 T-shirt from Nørgaard paa Strøget was designed by Mads Nørgaard’s father, Jørgen Nørgaard, who in 1967 revolutionised the Danish clothing industry with an original ribbed and classic design. You can get the Kay Bojesen Monkey x Nørgaard paa Strøget with the nice painted Nørgaard paa Strøget #101 T-shirt in either black with white stripes or white with black stripes. Both colour variants have the well-known red neckline, which you only find on #101 T-shirts in the exclusive Nørgaard paa Strøget version in the store on Amagertorv in Copenhagen.

The
Kay Bojesen story

When the Kay Bojesen brand was founded back in 1932, it marked the start of a story about a craftsman with a great sense of humour and plenty of curiosity. Kay Bojesen created his animals and figures based on the philosophy that good design should be accessible to everyone, and over time Kay Bojesen has become synonymous with original Danish design.
