Add a beautiful Holmegaard glass dish to your interior
Holmegaard’s glass dishes are incredibly beautiful. Each glass dish is unique and will be a special element in your interior design. The glass dishes from Holmegaard are a Danish design and are therefore decorative in themselves, but they also have a practical purpose and make ideal fruit bowls, among other things. The Selandia glass dish, for example, looks beautiful in any home. It was created in 1957 by designer Per Lütken, who has breathed life into more than 3000 different glass designs. Many of them have become classics, as has the Selandia dish. In fact it's become a modern classic that was put back into production in 2011. The glass dish is mouth-blown and has a special shape. Per Lütken’s love of sweeping, feminine shapes is evident in the design of the dish, which comes in soft and curved shapes.
Mouth-blown and machine-blown glass
Holmegaard produces both mouth-blown and machine-blown glass using the latest and most advanced production methods. Whether it’s mouth-blown or machine-made glass, Holmegaard always represents high quality and elegant design. Each piece of mouth-blown glass is unique and handmade by the glassblower, who carefully blows the right amount of air through the narrow pipe. Air bubbles in the glass are therefore inevitable and are part of the charm of mouth-blown glass. You can also find small air bubbles in Holmegaard’s glass dishes.
