The Hammershøi series from Kähler was created by designer Hans-Christian Bauer, inspired by the original works of the Danish artist Svend Hammershøi, which Hammershøi created at Kähler's workshop back in the early 20th century. The iconic grooves create classic and modern expressions of the series – in natural colours. Now an exclusive colour is added to the collection since the mug comes in dusty green. The colour draws on references from Poppy, Hammershøi Christmas and Hammershøi Spring, and it makes it possible to create a poetic and personal table setting – both when the entire table is covered with one of the three series and when the mug is used in combination with the classic white Hammershøi collection.

The Kähler story
A unique design adventure that began in 1839
The story of Kähler begins as early as 1839, when the Dutch potter Herman J. Kähler opened a small ceramics workshop in Næstved and crafted the first Kähler vase. This was the start of a unique design adventure that would one day resonate around the world. However, the ceramic adventure only truly began when his son, Herman A. Kähler, took over the famous workshop in 1875.
