We have a wide range of different sheets for your bed here at Rosendahl.com, so you will be able to choose exactly the sheet and the quality you are dreaming of. You will find sheets from well-known Juna, who have a good knowledge of what high-quality textiles mean, so you can explore our assortment with full confidence.
Great materials with sustainability in mind
Quality means a lot when you buy sheets. We are well aware of this here at Rosendahl.com, and it is reflected in our wide assortment. Our sheets are all of high quality, which means they are durable and will still look good even after several washes. In addition, all our sheets are OEKO-TEX® certified, which protects you from being exposed to substances that are harmful to health. Most Juna sheets are also made of organic cotton and carry the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) label, which is one of the toughest standards for organic textiles worldwide: your guarantee that the product does not contain harmful chemicals and has been produced in a proper and socially responsible way. By purchasing a GOTS certified product, you are ensured 100% responsible production from raw material to finished product.
Percale woven sheets
There are many sheets in different qualities and weaves, and you have probably slept on both good and bad types. Most sheets are made of cotton today, so the big difference between them is the weave. Percale sheets are closely woven with fine, thin cotton threads, giving the sheet a crisp, cool, breathable feel. The surface is matt and wicks away heat and moisture, so that it feels cooler than a terry cloth or jersey sheet, for example.
Percale sheets are ideal for warm summer nights and those of you who feel warm at night. Here you will really enjoy lying in bed when you feel the cooling surface that ensures that you can get rid of the heat. Our sheet assortment includes a large number of percale sheets, so you can easily find the one that fits your bed.
Fitted sheets
At Rosendahl.com you will also find jersey sheets, which are made from a thick, extra soft fabric for optimal sleeping comfort. Jersey sheets are also known as fitted sheets, and they are quite stretchy and flexible. Our fitted sheets are extra high (45 cm), so that in many cases they can cover both the box mattress and the top mattress. The elastic all the way around the edge, however, means that it can also be used on lower mattresses.
Fitted sheets have the great advantage that they do not fold under you at night. Most people are a bit restless when they sleep, and the sheet is pulled around. This is avoided with fitted sheets because the elastic band ensures that it stays in place, which will significantly optimise your sleep.
Washing sheets
Before using your sheet for the first time, we recommend washing it. Both our jersey and percale sheets can be washed at 60 degrees and tumble dried. After washing, stretch the sheet well over the mattress when adding new bed linen. It may seem a bit wrinkled, but once you put it on, the sheet will be completely smooth again.
Choose the right sheet
How do you know which sheet to use? There are many types of weaves and sizes, and finding the right sheets can be a bit of a puzzle. However, we are ready to guide you through the process, so you can find exactly what you need.
We have seen to the quality of the sheets, and here you can choose between a cooling percale lsheet cooling or a jersey sheet that is stretchy and soft. It can be a good idea to have a couple of each, so that you can sleep with percale sheets in the summer when the bedroom is warm. In addition to the quality, you must also consider the sheet's size. Fortunately, most beds today are 90x200 cm (single) or 180x200 cm (double), making it easy and manageable to choose the right length.
Most beds consist of a box mattress and a top mattress, and you can get sheets for both. However, not everyone chooses to place the sheets on both mattresses; some prefer one sheet that covers them both, instead. One advantage of this is that the top mattress can be more easily put in place. Below we will go through the different types of sheets so you can easily find out what you need.
Envelope sheets
Let’s start with the top layer: the top mattress. Most beds are equipped with a top mattress, as it is good for supporting the pressure points in your body, as well as protecting the box mattress and improving your night’s sleep. A top mattress is approx. 3–5 cm high and requires a sheet of around 8 cm. Such a sheet is called an envelope sheet or a bottom sheet. It is sewn so that the edges fit under the top mattress, so that it fits tightly to it. Envelope sheets are easy to change, and they also keep their nice shape on your top mattress.
One advantage of using an envelope sheet is that it only lies on your top mattress. This means that you can just wash the envelope sheet, while the sheet on the bottom mattress can remain there for a little longer. This is good for the environment and saves you extra laundering. Juna envelope sheets are made of fine-threaded percale with a little bit of height, which makes them perfect for top mattresses that are 4–8 cm high. If you are curious and would like to see our wide range of quality envelope sheets, you can find them on this page.
Fitted sheets
The other important sheet is the fitted or box sheet. This sheet fits a box mattress or spring mattress and is stitched with elastic in the corners so that it is secured around the mattress. Fitted sheets fit snugly around the mattress, avoiding creasing while you sleep. At the same time, you can be sure that they are soft and comfortable, since all our box sheets are made of 100% cotton. Whether you prefer box sheets in percale or jersey is a matter of taste.
Flat sheets
Most people know flat sheets. This type of sheet is made for box mattresses and spring mattresses, and it is a completely flat sheet without elastic at the edges. You can therefore choose to have it hanging loosely over the mattress or attach it between the mattress and the bed frame if your bed allows it.
