Fairytales

Fairytales is a magical Christmas series of hand-painted figurines with optical patterns that nod to the current glass trend. The series creates reflections in glass and a personal scenery of Christmas decorations that you can spread throughout the home. The Fairytales series consists of Christmas trees in different sizes and a pair of elves.

This series of Christmas figurines is the perfect decoration for Christmas. With their varying heights, Fairytale's trees create a forest of Christmas spirit when displayed together – but a single tree also has a big effect when displayed on its own. They are all adorned with gold details that are hand-painted and make them extremely elegant and simple in their appearance, so that you can easily fit them on the Christmas table.

You could also use the Fairytales trees as scenery for the series’ elf couples with their gold faces and curved cone bodies. Use the series to transform the family’s yearly traditions and Christmas rituals into new displays on the window sill or dinner table. Then add candles and nature’s own decorations or something else from Holmegaard’s world of glass to really set the Christmas mood.

It’s entirely up to you how you use the trees and glass elves to decorate for the holiday season, and they provide the ideal opportunity for you to create your own unique composition. The Fairytales series is designed to be combined with other Christmas series from Holmegaard. Because even though only a few have the childhood faith of Christmas intact, most of us still believe in the magic of Christmas and in growing and celebrating traditions. This also applies to Holmegaard, and the Fairytales series is a fine combination of glass and gold, perfect for including in your Christmas decorations.

FOUNDED BY A WOMAN WHO WAS AHEAD OF HER TIME

Holmegaard is a Danish design icon and one of the most recognised names in the Scandinavian tradition of craftsmanship. The long and proud tradition of glass production dates back to 1825, when Countess Henriette Danneskiold-Samsøe created an artistic and aesthetic design universe at the glassworks.
