Charlotte Amalie
The Charlotte Amalie range is one of Holmegaard’s oldest existing designs. The range is designed by Per Lütken and named after the popular glass designer’s wife. Many of Per Lütken’s glass designs have become true classics with a high collector's value, and this is also the case for the Charlotte Amalie range from 1981.
In the range you will find glasses for various wines, beers, schnapps and champagnes, as well as candlesticks in two different heights. The the glasses are mouth-blown and offer a unique gift idea for special occasions. Each piece of mouth-blown glass is unique and handmade by the glassblower, who carefully blows the right amount of air through the narrow pipe. Air bubbles in the glass are therefore inevitable and are part of the charm of mouth-blown glass.
The sculptural silhouette and delicate design of the Charlotte Amalie range are suitable for mixing and arranging in groups. High and low, two or more, for everyday use or for guests when you want the table to have a feminine touch. You can also use the glasses to serve welcome snacks, individual salads and desserts, or create a reflective and curious design by placing several glasses from the range, in varying sizes, in the middle of the table with cut flowers in them.
