The Hammershøi series from Kähler was created by designer Hans-Christian Bauer, who draws inspiration from the original works of Danish artist Svend Hammershøi, which Hammershøi created at Kähler's workshop back in the early 1900s. The iconic grooves create the classic and modern expression of the series in natural anf glazed colours. Now the Hammershøi universe have a new colour, as the mug are introduced in dark green. The colour draws on references from both Poppy, Hammershøi Christmas and Hammershøi Easter, and it makes it possible to create a poetic and personal table setting – both when the table is covered with Poppy and when the mug is used in combination with the classic, white Hammershøi tableware.

Hammershøi from Kähler is a stylish and elegant series inspired by one of the most talented and famous designers in Kähler’s history: Svend Hammershøi. He joined Kähler in 1893 and became known for his designs with strong contours and distinct grooves. These grooves were the inspiration of designer Hans-Christian Bauer when he created the Hammershøi series in 2015 as a tribute to the great Kähler champion.
